hi I'm Ashley molineux the head of school of Premier Arts Academy Academy is a free and open to all Public Charter School that focuses on arts and abrasion sound space learning and small-group instruction for every kid every day after being an education for many years it became clear that some things just weren't working and so we went out to research what the best way to keep his engaged excited and happy to be in a school environment and that's how the Premier Academy was born you might be wondering what makes Premier Arts Academy different well first of all we have a certified teacher and instructional assistant in every classroom that allows for targeted small group instruction every day for every kid in both English and now and then I think that makes us different is using a strategy called Arts integration teachers teach content through the lens of the art helping students demonstrate learning through an art form and it in turn cement that learning and is totally new and different way another way that we're different is we take our lesson outside of the typical classroom challenge-based learning is one way we do that we're kids come together and small group to tackle real world problems and come up with solutions that they can actually act on we have a community Oxbow every quarter where families and community members can come in and see what the kids are working on it's a really powerful experience that provides authentic assessment right off the bat first you taking the best of what private school and public school both have to offer or free and open to all yet we control our own curriculum and teaching strategies so we can choose to do what's best for kids everyday although we still have to give the mandatory state test we refused to subscribe to a stressful testing culture here we make sure that the kids know that the tests are just a way to inform us what we need to teach them next not a label for that we're really proud of the culture we've built at Premier Arts Academy our staff are highly qualified Educators who love what they do with kids who are honestly I sent to Cle happy to be here what a wonderful place to walk through the halls and here you're in song and dance and music if you're interested in a rolling check out the enrollment page on our website and fill out the intent to enroll form we look forward to meeting you at Premier Arts Academy for the Arts and academic Excellence mate
